PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an ink emitting speed by easily generating the deformation of a partition wall by small shearing strain and to suppress the damage to the central part of the partition wall caused by repeated shearing strain. SOLUTION: An ink jet head is constituted by providing a plurality of partition plates 5 comprising ceramics between a pair of substrates 1, 3 to form a plurality of ink pressure chambers 7 and providing electrodes 9 to both surfaces of the partition walls 5 and the partition walls 5 are deformed toward the ink pressure chambers 7 to eject liquid droplets from the nozzle orifices provided to the ink pressure chambers 7. In this case, each of the partition walls 5 is formed by bonding a plurality of partition wall pieces 5a, 5b through an elastomer 11. Herein, the thickness (t) of the elastomer 11 is desirably 5-20μm.
