PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable display without impairing the visual quality of a finder and without enhancing the positioning precision of patterns of a front side and a rear side by using negative type liquid crystal. SOLUTION: Plural screen sizes are displayed at the inside of the visual field of a finder 30 by using the negative type liquid crystal by the display device of a camera. First to third electrodes 31-33 are arranged and also areas in between electrodes 34 and 35 are provided on the front side of liquid crystal, and fourth to sixth electrodes 36-38 are arranged and also the areas in between the electrodes 39 and 40 are provided on the rear side of the liquid crystal. The electrode on the front side and that on the rear side are arranged so that only parts where the areas 34 and 35 and the areas 39 and 40 are crossed are laid over within the visual field of the finder 30, so that the area whose periphery is surrounded only by the areas 34 and 35 and the areas 39 and 40. Each electrode is supplied with a control signal, so that the area corresponding to the screen size is displayed and operated within the visual field of the finder 30.
