PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for defecating edible-oil which decreases acid values and peroxide values, which are the deterioration components in used deteriorated oils, to approach the values of fresh oils, improves the degree of yellowness, i.e., discoloration caused by moisture or by components which are transferred from fried food to oils, removes odors generated from deterioration components by removing peroxides and prevents environmental pollution. SOLUTION: To an adsorbent mainly comprising SiO2 and MgO, a composition containing at least one antioxidant chosen from L-ascorbic acid, dl-α- tocopherol, epigrocatechin galate and polyphenols is added and mixed. Preferably, the periphery of the composition is coated with at least one coating agent chosen from calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide and calcium salts containing as a core substance at least one antioxidant chosen from L-ascorbic acid, dl-α- tocopherol, epigrocatechin galate and polyphenols. |
