PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molding material which is resistant to light discoloration, has a high flame retardance, and hardly generates a halogenated gas when incinerated by compounding a polyolefin resin with a brominated compound and/or a brominated phosphoric ester, magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, and an ultraviolet absorber. SOLUTION: This molding material comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. polyolefin resin, (B) 5-100 pts.wt. flame retardant comprising a brominated compound such as represented by the formula and/or a brominated phosphoric ester [tris(dibromophenyl)phosphate or the like], (C) magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide, each in an amount of 5-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. sum of ingredients A and B, and (D) a benzotriazole-base ultraviolet absorber in an amount of 0.1-1 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. sum of ingredients A and B. Preferably, the compounding ratio of the brominated compound to the brominated phosphoric ester is (10/90)-(90/10).
