PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting apparatus of an automotive exhaust system which is capable of preferably reducing a muffled sound heard in the driver's seat. SOLUTION: The downstream portion of an exhaust system 13 has an approximately bilaterally-symmetric structure as viewed longitudinally toward the front of an automobile. An engine body 12 is offset to the left as viewed longitudinally toward the front of the automobile, and the central axis of roll oscillation thereof is also offset to the left. At right and left sub-mufflers 19, 20, the exhaust system 13 is elastically supported through right and left support rubbers 61, 62 to body supports 51, 52 which are provided to right and left frames 31, 32 forming the automotive body, respectively. The left support rubber 62 located near the central axis of the roll oscillation and oscillating slightly has a larger spring constant than that of the right support rubber 61 located far away from the central axis of the roll oscillation largely oscillating.
