PURPOSE: A head drum assembly is provided to improve travel characteristic of a tape and to improve credit by preventing damage of a tape and to realize miniaturization and to make assembly easily with a simple constitution and structure and to reduce the manufacture cost by decreasing of the number of parts by installing a middle disc, in which a video head is installed, between upper and lower drums which are installed fixedly at upper and lower ends of an axis. CONSTITUTION: A upper drum(120) and a lower drum(130) are installed fixedly at upper and lower ends of an axis(110). A middle disc(140) is installed rotatable on the axis(110) between the upper drum(120) and the lower drum(130). A video head(160) is installed in a margin of the middle disc(140) for record and playback of video signal. A rotary transformer(170) is installed between the upper drum(120) and the middle disc(140). A drum motor(180) is installed between the lower drum(130) and the middle disc(140) to rotate the middle disc(140).
