摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a characteristic measurement device for a sheetlike material, ensuring sufficient permeation and diffusion due to sheets ranging over thin to thick sheets, high sensitivity and less light attenuation, while generating a less measurement error for an axial deviation within horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION:A characteristic measurement device for a sheetlike material 3 has a light-receiving element 12 to receive light from a light emission section via a sheetlike material, and measures the physical characteristics of the material 3 on the basis of a signal from the light receiving section. An upper reflective board 30 and a lower reflective board 31 having a bent section along the periphery thereof are so laid as to sandwich the sheetlike material 3, and a shield plate 32 having both sides finished to mirror surface is fitted between the sheetlike material 3 and the lower reflective board. Also, a lens is provided to throttle transmitted light and reduce a transmission light hole, thereby reducing return light, and the outer diameters of the upper and lower reflective boards are made different. Also, the outer diameters are made variable. Furthermore, both boards are made rectangular, and one of the boards is made shorter than the other for positioning the longer side thereof along the flow direction of a sheet.</p>
