摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the speed of a vehicle with a simple constitution without increasing the number of parts by detecting the rotating speed of a gear by means of sensors faced oppositely to the outer periphery of a gearing and detect each tooth of the gear. SOLUTION: A transmission 9 transmits the rotational force from an engine to a forward/backward rotating shaft 12 through an input shaft 10 and an intermediate shaft 11 and a driving shaft section 13 which drives fitted rear wheels (driving wheels) is rotated by means of the gear 21 of the section 13 meshed with the gear of the shaft 12. First and second magnetic sensors 28 and 30 for detecting vehicle speed are provided in such a way that the sensors 28 and 30 are faced oppositely to the outer peripheral surface of the gear 21 of the driving shaft section 13 so that the sensors 28 and 30 may detect each tooth 21a of the gear 21 and connectors 32 are electrically connected to the sensors 28 and 30, respectively. The sensors 28 and 30 detect the intensity of magnetism which varies depending upon the irrregularities of each tooth 21a of the gear 21, generates the pulse signal corresponding to each tooth 21a, and detects the rotating speed of the gear 21, based on the pulse signal. Therefore, it becomes unnecessary to provide a new rotating shaft exclusively used for speed detection.
