PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recording/reproducing for a flexible disk having large capacity and a low error rate by providing a pressurizing force imparting means by which pressurizing force of a magnetic head in the outer peripheral part of a flexible magnetic disk is enlarged more than pressurizing force in the inner peripheral part of the flexible magnetic disk. SOLUTION: Thin bars 151, 152 are provided for arms 103, 104 of a magnetic head left and right, and stoppers 153, 154 are provided for a cartridge holding member. When the inner peripheral part of a disk is sought with the head in the direction of the arrows A, B, the head is pressurized against the disk with a fixed head load. When the outer peripheral part is sought with the head in the direction of the arrow A, B, bars 151, 152 provided for the arms 103, 104 of the head abut on the stoppers 153, 154, the arms of both upper and lower heads are deformed in the direction of the arrows C, D, a head load is increased, and the head is more pressurized against the disk. Since the stoppers 153, 154 are attached to the cartridge holding member, any disturbance does not occur when load/unload is executed.
