The invention relates to a hold-down and triggering device (1) for holding a hold-down pin (6) in a positive fit and triggering said pin which is used for components of a satellite which are to be folded out. Said device comprises a housing (2) having a sleeve (3) that is arranged therein. The sleeve is formed by at least two sleeve components (3a, 3b) which are wound with a bandage (29) consisting of optionally conglutinated fibres. The sleeve components are preferably prestressed against the housing (2). At least one triggering element (30) comprising a cutting edge (37) is arranged at the housing (2). The cutting edge (37) is moved in direction towards the bandage (29) by means of a control setting in order to cut said bandage (29).
