Laser scanning microscope control system uses solid state laser and synchronization of laser continuous emission phase to prevent image error

The laser scanning microscope control unit (2) detects the continuous emission phase of the solid state laser (1) and provides a trigger impulse to start the scanning of a picture, line or pixel. This avoids scanning during initial spikes of high laser output power. The trigger impulse can come either from monitoring the laser output or from setting a dead time after starting the laser.
