PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for degreasing a powder compact by which the swelling can be extremely reduced while maintaining a desired extraction rate. SOLUTION: This method for degreasing a powder compact comprises extracting and degreasing a part of an organic binder by water or a solvent consisting essentially of water, heating and degreasing a remaining organic binder. When an organic binder is extracted by the solvent, the temperature of the solvent is set at the low temperature at which the component to be extracted does not cause the water-absorption and swelling in the first stage, and maintained for a prescribed time, and thereafter the temperature of the solvent is raised to a high temperature. |
