A novel ring used in moulding e.g. cakes, gateaux, flans, pizzas and tarts has a new adjustable construction. It comprises a long spring strip (11). At each extremity (111, 112) of the strip, end plates are attached. One end plate also includes a sliding slot, holding the strip captive in ring shape. The end plates are equipped as handles, to set the diameter of the ring. Preferably there is also an external scale of sizes.
