PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital signal processor and reproducing device in which reproducing continuously the negative maximum value is prevented, and peripheral devices are not destroyed. SOLUTION: A sector 17 switches selectively a one bit digital signal Ds from a signal processing circuit 15 or a mute signal DM from a mute signal generating section 16. And when reset operation is performed for the signal processing circuit 15, the selector 17 is switched to the mute signal DM from the one bit digital signal Ds'.
