PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an automated conveying/drying apparatus for conveying and drying washed vegetables and fruits such as sweet potatoes. SOLUTION: A title apparatus comprises a dryer 1 including therein a conveyance mechanism 2 for drying and conveying an article 4 to be dried longitudinally of a drying chamber 1a, and a dehumidifier. A conveyance inlet is provided at a longitudinal one end of the drying chamber, and an air stream inlet 1f is provided in the vicinity of the conveyance inlet. Further, a conveyance outlet is provided at the other end portion, and an air stream outlet is formed in the vicinity of the conveyance outlet. For the conveyance mechanism a plurality of infrared ray sources 1b and fans 1c are uniformly disposed in a drying chamber inner wall, and many rotatable roller members 2a axis ends are rotatably supported on and with each chain 2b element, and further both ends are wound around a chain wheel 2e. An upper stage lower portion is supported on a holding plate 2c, and dried air is fed and is flowed into an air inflow port from a dehumidifier through an air fan duct 3a. The dried air is sucked into the dehumidifier after passage through a suction duct 3b to remove involved water.
