PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device which is capable of suppressing the rate of change in commutation current and short-circuit current without increase in loss with reliability, and is of high efficiency and reliability. SOLUTION: The power conversion device comprises a series connection body comprising an anode reactor 6 and a current-limiting reactor 7 connected between the P-potential terminal of a smoothing capacitor 9 and the anode terminal of GCT(Gate Commutation Turn-off thyristor) 1a, a reflux diode 8 parallel-connected with the current-limiting reactor 7, a series connection body comprising a clamp diode 3 and a clamp resistor 5 parallel-connected with the series connection body comprising the anode reactor 6 and the current- limiting reactor 7, and a clamp capacitor 4 connected between the connecting point between the clamp diode 3 and the clamp resistor 5 and the N-potential terminal of the smoothing capacitor 9. |
