PURPOSE: An obstruction detecting method of meter is provided to give a proper treatment to read when the problem of the previous technique, automatic meter reading system (AMRS), has a problem. CONSTITUTION: A meter enabled the obstruction detecting requests a sending data to the surrounding meter at a pre-settled time, and then detect the obstruction according to the meter condition which is working normally or not. It is received and displayed together the obstruction information of the surrounding meter through the display part (48) in using the reading machine to read the meter. Thereby, the treating efficiency of a reader for the meter having the obstruction is fastened and makes the meter reading easier because the reader knows about the obstruction information of the surrounding meter and predicts the specific condition.
