METHOD FOR ALLOCATING DOWNSTREAM MESSAGE IN OPTICAL LINE TERMINATION OF ATM-PON SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for allocating a downstream message in an OLT(Optical Line Termination) of an ATM-PON(Asynchronous Transfer Mode-Passive Optical Network) system is provided to transfer a relative message of real code about only an activated ONU(Optical Network Termination) to the appropriate ONU after deciding a PLOAM cell for transferring the relative message of code to transfer a relative changing message of code key at a certain time interval. CONSTITUTION: An OLT(Optical Line Termination) decided a PLOAM cell to transfer a message for the change of code key previously. According to an activated ONU(Optical Network Termination) among many ONUs receiving a message requested a new code key from the OLT, the new code key is transmitted to the OLT. The OLT that receives the new code key transmits the PLOAM cell to transfer the message for changing the previously decided code key to the ONU. The OLT transmits the PLOAM cell to transfer the message for changing the previously decided code key by covering three times at a certain time interval decided for an exact synchronous between the OLT and the ONU.
