The detector has two stator bodies (12,14) spaced apart with an intermediate Hall sensor (15). A circular sliding opening (16,17) is provided in the stator bodies. The stator bodies have a circular cylinder jacket (33,34). A cylindrical sensor plunger (11) is connected to a valve plunger. The sensor plunger is provided with a magnet (18), and is displaced in the sliding opening relative to the Hall sensor.
