PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cartridge capable of storing media while maintaining the color rendering property thereof over a long period. SOLUTION: In a paper cartridge 20 provided with a main body 22 that can be fully closed with media 1 stored therein, a paper feed port 28, and a shutter 29 for opening and closing the paper feed port 28, a humectant 5 for maintaining humidity inside the main body 22 is installed at two positions in the main body 22. The main body 22 is provided with operating parts such as an opening/closing cover 25 and a bottom plate 30. Rubber packing 40, 41 serving as elastic sealing members is installed at the portions of the operating parts making contact with the main body 22. Therefore, the inside of the main body 22 is held airtight and can keep the media 1 in an appropriate humidity environment by virtue of the humectant 5.
