<p>A modular electricity meter assembly (12) includes at least two printed circuit boards (140, 162) one for basic metrology functions while the other for creating a custom design requirement, a unitary power supply (267) provided for both boards (140, 160) through a fixed connector (164), a common baseplate (14) includes a circuitry link through a tamper proof embodiment or one with exposed terminals for permitting customer testing, a light pipe (214) providing external output through an intercover (16) for indicating correct meter operation. Meter data and other metered information is output through different configurations optionally involving hardwired output, RF links, pulse outputs, and telephone connections via modem or wireless.</p> |
