NOVEL ADHESION MOLECULE AND METHODS OF USE

The invention provides a novel adhesion molecule, designated ACAM, and methods of its use. The ACAM polypeptide and ACAM-encoding polynucleotides are provided. Methods for using the polynucleotides to transform host cells to express the polypeptide, and methods of screening putative modulators of ACAM activity or expression are also provided. Antibodies specifically immunoreactive with the ACAM polypeptide and cell lines producing such antibodies are also enabled according to the invention.
