PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiautomatic packing machine for reducing the power consumption, controlling the wear of a roller to low level, reducing the generation of noises and carrying out easily the maintenance and inspection, and to be manufactured at a low cost when the tip of a band is to be guided to a sealing unit. SOLUTION: This semiautomatic packing machine is provided with a band insertion hole protruded to the outside of a packing machine body, and the tip of the band inserted into the band insertion hole is fed and transferred to a sealing unit in the packing machine body by a band feed means constituted of a feed roller 23 and a touch roller 35, and a flap 33 to be opened and closed is provided on a band passage from the band insertion hole to the sealing unit, and a sensor 29 is provided near the inlet side of the insertion hole, and the feed roller 23 is controlled to be driven only at the time of band feeding and transferring based on sensor signals of the sensor 29, and the touch roller 35 is supported rotatably on the flap 33, and when the flap 33 is opened, the touch roller 35 is separated from the peripheral face of the feed roller 23.
