<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set top box which narrowing down the range of demodulation conditions based on viewer's indication at the time of the occurrence of contention of demodulation conditions by controlling demodulation conditions of a tuner from a connected external device. SOLUTION: A demodulation control part 12 resolves the contention between a demodulation control signal D inputted from a video recorder 2 through an external communication interface 15 and a demodulation control signal D inputted from a user input device 5 and inputs a demodulation control signal F as the result to a demodulation part 11. The demodulation part 11 demodulates a broadcasting wave based on the demodulation control signal F inputted from the demodulation control part 12 and inputs the demodulation result to a video signal selection part 13 simultaneously with transferring it to the video recorder 2 through the external communication interface 15. The video signal selection part 13 selects either a video signal A or a video signal B based on the input from the user input device 5, and a selected video signal C is converted by a signal conversion part 14 and is displayed on a display device.</p> |
