PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of mounting operation of a grommet to an electric wire bundle. SOLUTION: In mounting a grommet G to an electric wire bundle W, after the grommet G is attached to a spreader SN, each claw members 21, 22, 23, 24 are spread to spread the grommet G to diameter allowing insertion of the wire bundle W. The wire bundle W is inserted into a wire inserting part 70 of the spread grommet G. Each claw members 21, 22, 23, 24 are shrinkingly closed so that a gap through which the wire bundle W constituting a wire harness can pass is formed between the claw members 21, 22, 23, 24. After the position of the wire bundle W to the grommet G is adjusted, the grommet G is temporarily secured to the grommet mounting position of the wire bundle W. The grommet G temporarily secured to the wire bundle W is removed from the spreader SN. |
