PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a design intention explicitly and to reduce backtracking to a past design by providing a means that inputs design information to be needed when analytical calculation or manufacturing and processing are performed to a shape element constituting three-dimensional graphics. SOLUTION: A CAD system 101 inputs three-dimensional graphics and a design information setting part 102 interactively sets design information for a shape element. For instance, a CAD operator inputs that 'the R of this fillet is about 2 to 3 mm and it is eliminable when analyzed' for a certain shape element after indicating the shape element. The information is linked with each shape element and is stored in a database 105. Thus, it is possible for each operator in charge to decide and perform processing such as ignoring an unnecessary shape element and evaluating an important portion with special care. Even when a designer performs CAE work, etc., the past design history and ideas, etc., when a design is performed are represented on graphic data and it is convenient in working.
