PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a producing method of a silver halide photographic emulsion, having superior sensitivity and preservable property by using a compd. having adsorbing groups to silver halides and having substituents which is capable of releasing halogen ions in the molecule and by using at least a specified compd. or its oxidized compd. SOLUTION: In a producing method of silver halide photographic emulsion, a compd. having adsorbing groups to silver halides and having substituents which can release halogen ions in the molecule is used, and moreover, a compd. expressed by the formula X1-(C(R1)=Y)n-X2 or the like or its oxidize compd. is used. In the formula, each of X1 and X2 represents -OR3 or -N(R4)R5, R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a group which can be converted into a hydrogen atom through hydrolysis, each of R4 and R5 represents a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, sulfamoyl group, carbamoyl group or the like. Y represents C(R2) or N, each of R1 and R2 represents hydrogen or other substituents, and (n) is an integer 0 or larger.
