<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a member holding a retainer at a temporarily suspending position from being separated from its disposed position in a flexible pipe joint wherein the retainer is pushed in a retainer housing chamber within a connected cylinder as a fastening cylinder is fastened so as to allow its diameter to be contracted, so that the flexible pipe joint is outwardly engaged with the trough part of a bellows pipe in an open-widening preventive condition. SOLUTION: This joint is equipped with the projected part 11 provided for the inner circumference of a connected cylinder 1, and with a flange 38 so provided for the outer circumference of a retainer 3 as to be engaged with the projected part 11 from the rear side in the threadedly engaging direction of a fastening cylinder 2. And a flange escaping space S recessed to the joint center shaft side rather than the tip end of the projected part, is formed in a portion continued to the rear side in the threadedly inserting direction of the fastening cylinder 2.</p> |
