PURPOSE: A process for stopping an operation of a vehicle is provided to remove usage which does not permit an automatic vehicle even when a process, a data carrier and a right chip card are useful. CONSTITUTION: A stopping process by supplying a data carrier to an on-board interpreter contains the steps of storing a user-specific information about an owner compared to the information stored inside by being supplied to the on-board processor by being detected by the interpreter by the data carrier, supplying to the processor by demanding other personal information by the user by the on-board interpreter, comparing with the information stored in the on-board for an identification of the user permitted to use, and stopping the vehicle as a function of the result of a comparison of the personal data. Each user stores an establishment parameter by a master code at the data carrier of the user, and the establishment parameters are automatically realized by the control of a mirror, a steering wheel and an electronic seat before starting an engine.
