INK TANK, CARTRIDGE EQUIPPING INK TANK AND PRINTER USING CARTRIDGE

PURPOSE: An ink tank, a cartridge equipping the ink tank and a printer using the cartridge are provided to detect liquid existence even when using a sort of ink dispersing a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION: An ink tank(7) has an air hole(120) inletting air and a receiving chamber(340) containing an absorber(320) as a material generating floating pressure. The receiving chamber and a liquid storage(360) are connected each other through only a channel(400) of a partition(380) formed near the lower ink tank. Many ribs(420) protruded to the ink tank are formed on an upper wall(7U) of the tank, and an air buffer chamber(440) is formed between the upper face of the absorber and the upper wall. The absorber keeps regular amount of floating pressure to a print head since air is supplied as the absorber even when ink is consumed by the printing head. After all ink is consumed by the absorber, ink of the liquid storage is supplied. Therefore, the liquid storage equips a prism of an ink detector informing a user of the replacement time of ink.
