<p>PURPOSE: A performing method of an AFC process in a mobile station is provided to prevent the inverse dispersion of data even though a frequency in a reference oscillator is adjusted in a waiting mode. CONSTITUTION: To operate an AFC process, the existence of an incoming call is searched by receiving PCH in finger receivers(9,9) in a mobile station of a waiting mode. Then, an error of a frequency in the waiting mode is decided by receiving BCCH in a finger receiver(13), and the size of the frequency error is decided if larger than a selected value. If the frequency error is larger than the selected value, AFC process is performed using BCH by the finger receivers in a base station. If the frequency error is smaller than the selected value and the frequency is locked in the AFC process, the mobile station stops the AFC process for the control to enter the waiting mode. The AFC process using BCCH is faster than the AFC process using PCH. Therefore, the receiving is not failed even if TCXO(3) is adjusted in the frequency in the waiting mode.</p> |
