[Also in Division B8] A device for cleaning contact lenses comprises soft deformable cleansing elements 48, 49 carried by frame members 50, 51 depending from a member 40 adapted to be secured to a neck 9 of a container 3 for cleaning liquid, an opening being provided in the member 40 for the passage of the lens so that it may be moved to and fro between the cleaning elements 48, 49. Tongs 18, as described in Specification 999,138 are provided for holding the lens during the cleaning operation, and are secured to a closure cap 12 so that when not in use they are supported in a compartment 2 for rinsing liquid in the container 3, which has another compartment for holding the cleaning device and cleaning liquid.
