PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure using time stability and a housing time compact shape by joining an output shaft of a motive power source to a screw shaft through a motive power transmitting mechanism, and applying only a load caused by impartment of motive power to the motive power source. SOLUTION: An output shaft G1 of a planetary gear group is inserted into a through hole 9c bored in an L-shaped installing part 91 of a guide block 9, and a gear G2 for constituting a motive power transmitting mechanism is fitted/fixed to an noncircular shape forming part G11 arranged in a tip part. The gear G2 is meshed with a gear G3 fixed to a noncircular shape forming part 52 of an end part of a screw shaft 5 to transmit motive power of an electric motor M to the screw shaft 5 as torque. A bearing step part is formed in a through hole 9b of the guide block 9 to constitute a bearing in the shape of sandwiching a bearing ball B with a washer W. Thus, when folding a jack, it becomes bulky in the thickness direction by thickness quantity of the electric motor M, but the longitudinal/lateral directional size is almost the same as a conventional type jack having no motive power source.
