PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct fluctuation of density due to aging of a recording sheet or environmental fluctuation. SOLUTION: A color thermal printer 47 is built in a digital camera station 20 and a test pattern is printed on a recording sheet using the color thermal printer 47. The image of the test pattern is picked up by means of a digital camera 25 set at the station 20. A correction amount of density fluctuation due to aging of a recording sheet 10 or environmental fluctuation is determined using an image pickup data. Density is corrected based on the correction amount when printing is performed using the color thermal printer 47. Density can be corrected easily utilizing the digital camera 25 as a scanner. |
