PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow chain, allowing frequent attachment and detachment with a vehicle stopped, without inserting both arms toward an axle. SOLUTION: A split rubber snow chain with rivets is installed on a periphery of a tire in two or more split working processes so as to be partially installed with avoiding a tire grounding part. Both ends of ropes or the like M, N provided toward an axle are thrown in below the axle, drawn outside of a vehicle body with the ropes or the like M, N crossed, and tied outside the vehicle body. Thereby, a ring formed toward the axle is sufficiently pulled tight so that a sufficient contact force can be obtained in only a first partial installing process, and further, the work can be performed without inserting both arms toward the axle.
