FIELD: thermal engineering; oil, gas, and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: method involves at least steam production in at least one steam generator partially due to combustion of gaseous fuel meant for use, among all things, in at least some raw material treatment processes at plant. Novelty is that oil gas contained in raw material and/or fuel process gas emitted during heat treatment of raw material and/or as result of heat destruction processes during treatment of raw materials and/or by-products is used as at least part of gaseous fuel; steam generator or generators are fed with water composed of cooled down and clarified return condensate and chemically treated water introduced in addition in circulating loop and heated by thermal energy released in the course of extraction of residual heat of return condensate during cleaning of the latter. In this way, lower labor consumption and material input is required due to lower discharge of chemically treated water for boilers. In addition, standardizing quality of chemically treated water and condensate with respect to silicon content becomes unnecessary which enables return of 100% of condensate to steam generator so that demineralizing plant with hydrogen/cation exchangers and anion exchangers can be replaced by sodium/cation exchangers; hence, chemically active agents such as sulfuric acid and alkalis can be dispensed with and common salt used instead.
