The invention relates to a sealing system for drive units consisting of motors, especially fast running motors with direct flange-mounted transmissions, especially for passenger conveyor installations such as escalators and moving sidewalks, consisting of at least one sealing element configured as a radial shaft sealing element, at least one centrifugal element and at least one covering and suctioning element, wherein said covering and suctioning element is arranged in front of the sealing element on the transmission side and wherein a lubricating oil collecting chamber provided in the area of the centrifugal element is connected to the transmission chamber by at least one duct extending in the direction of the covering and suctioning element, said chamber being arranged approximately above the oil level in the suction-side area of the covering and suctioning element.
