PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the data base redesigning device which actualizes a data analyzing method capable of obtaining a normalization table structure with high mechanical precision. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a matrix chart generation part 10 which generates a matrix chart 200 having axes of table names, classifications, and data items according to a data item classification table 100 generated by inputting all file constitution information used by an existent system as one record by data items and applying classifications of the file constitution information whose tables are used, one by one, a data item totalization table generating device 20 which generates a data item total table 300 wherein the file items of the existent system are aggregated and reclassified according to the matrix chart 200, a data base physical design part 30 which physically structure a new data base according to the data item total table 300, and an input device 40 which is used to correct the matrix chart 200 and data item total table 300 as needed.
