PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize absorbing capacity of an article of forming a high density area on a top part and a bottom part of each pleat, forming a low density area between the top part and the bottom part of each pleat and abutting the bottom part on the surface of a core, in unwoven cloth for which thermoplastic synthetic fiber having weight of a specified range is used. SOLUTION: A liquid permeable surface sheet 2 is constituted of unwoven cloth made of thermoplastic synthetic fiber of weight 20 to 80 g/m2. In the unwoven cloth, plural lines of pleats 5 are arranged so as to be symmetric with respect to a center line C-C dividing the width of napkin into two equal parts. The pleats 5 form high density areas so as to be extended in one direction on a top part 7 and a bottom part 8. A side wall part 9 formed between the top part 7 and the bottom part 8 is made a low density area so as to be extended in one direction. Only the bottom part 8 is made to be abutted on the surface of the core 4. As a result, absorbing capacity of the core 4 is efficiently utilized and a leakage preventing effect of humor can be improved. |
