The lathe comprises a monobloc assembly with multiple vertical uprights for the centring points and for the machining and copying heads, which heads are fixed at the top to an upper structure carrying the guides for displacement of the uprights carrying the tool-holder heads and copier mechanism and a lower structure for rigid coupling of the assembly consisting of uprights and carrier of the supports for the plates of the workpieces to be machined and of the model to be reproduced, on which the tool-holder heads and the copier head, respectively, are capable of acting. Not only the uprights carrying the tool-holder heads but also the head carrying the copying mechanism are displaceable in the upper structure along linear guides with circulation of balls. <IMAGE>
