PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed water heater manhole lid detaching/attaching device allowing easy and sure detaching/attaching of a manhole lid of light weight, and easy in the disassembling, carrying, storage, and assembling. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a body arm part B, a traveling part C, and two rails D, the body arm part B is provided with an arm B1, and an arm rotating means B2 rotating this arm to the left/right at an angle approximatelyπ/2, the arm B1 is provided with an engagement tip J1 detachably engaged with an engagement part J provided on the surface of a manhole lid 1 and horizontally falls the manhole lid 1 with its engaged thereto, and the traveling part C is provided with a raising/lowering jack C1 which supports the body arm part B and moves the body arm part B in the vertical direction on a rail, a multiple-shaft traveling wheel C3 which travels on the upper face of the rail in the front/rear direction and draws or inserts the arm tip of the body arm part B from/into the manhole 2, a cam follower C4 which is arranged in the bottom face of the rail in such a state as preventing the falling and the disengagement with a wheel of the body arm part B, and a wheel lock mechanism C5 regulating the movement in the front/rear direction of the body arm part B.
