PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical write type liquid crystal light valve device which is capable of stabilizing coupling capacitance between pixel electrodes and auxiliary electrodes and improving productivity while realizing a high sensitivity and a high resolution. SOLUTION: This optical write type liquid crystal light valve device has transparent substrates 51, 52, a photoconductive layer 53, electrodes 61 which are arranged by being brought into contact with this layer 53, electrodes 62 insulated with the electrodes 61, an optical reflection layer 54, a liquid crystal layer 57 and an electrode 63 and electrodes 64 are formed between the electrodes 62 and the electrodes 61 and, moreover, electrodes 65 are formed between the electrodes 62 and the electrodes 64 and the electrodes 61, the electrodes 64 and the electrodes 65 are arranged at positions opposing to intervals between divided electrode parts of the electrodes 62.
