PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent even a thin original from floating by giving a sufficient pressing force to it, to make the operability and the durability of an original pressing plate excellent with a simple constitution and to enable an original pressing device to be made lightweight and thin, besides. SOLUTION: By arranging a flexible lock member 147 flexibly receiving both of a first and a second pressing plates 141 and 142 when they are folded at a middle part, both plates 141 and 142 can be elastically locked by giving a proper angular range so as to soften colliding force when they are locked.
