PURPOSE: Provided is novel anaerobic Bacteroides sp. HJ-15 (KCCM-10096) producing glycosaminoglycan protease which is used in decomposing proteins when administered through injection or a pill. CONSTITUTION: Novel Bacteroides sp. HJ-15 (KCCM-10096) producing glycosaminoglycan (GAM) protease is obtained by the next steps of: i) selecting anaerobic bacteria containing glycosaminoglycan protease by cultivating enteric bacteria in anaerobic medium, obtaining colonies, reacting the colonies with bacteria at 37 deg. C which have grown in GAM broth, and selecting bacteria showing the capability of decomposing GAM; and ii) identifying the bacteria by Bergey's manual by implementing various experiments such as glycolysis, Gram's stain, Methyl Red, Voges-Proskauer, Simmon's citrate etc.
