PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for improving the efficiency of a PAM(Power Amplification Module) are provided to improve an analog service, by varying a bias voltage of the PAM according to digital and analog services, and changing input output interface conditions in response to the bias voltage. CONSTITUTION: A power amplifier(2) amplifies a signal, applied via an input part, by its gain characteristics. An input interface circuit(4) is coupled to an input terminal of the power amplifier(2). An output interface circuit(6) is connected to an output terminal of the power amplifier(2). A switch(8), connected to the power amplifier(2), varies the bias voltage according to a service type. The switch(8) includes a terminal(a) connected to the power amplifier(2), a terminal(b) to which analog power supply is applied, and a terminal(c) to which digital power supply is applied.
