PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and kit by which liquid samples can be inspected easily, quickly, and accurately, for antibodies to pathogenic microorganisms existing in the liquid samples for monitoring infectious diseases. SOLUTION: In a method for easily inspecting antibody, a) a test piece on which a first portion which is held in such a way that an egg yoke antibody labeled with visible colored particles and specific to a pathogenic microorganism antigen can be moved by a capillary phenomenon and a second portion in which such a substance that can capture an antibody to be inspected is immobilized are connected to each other so that the capillary phenomenon may occur in the same plane and b) a liquid sample in which a complex of the antibody to be inspected and pathogenic microorganism antigen is formed is added to the first portion and spread on the test piece and a complex of the antibody to be inspected, pathogenic microorganism antigen, and egg yoke antibody labeled with the colored fine particles is obtained. Then c) the obtained complex is caught by means of the substance which can catch the antibody to be inspected immobilized in the second portion and the caught antibody to be inspected is visually detected.
