<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure an atmospheric pollutant such as ozone in the atmosphere. SOLUTION: This device comprises a sample side measuring means 15 comprising a gas permeable packing material 13 having in its inside a decomposition catalyst 12 for decomposing specifically a pollutant 11 (O3) in the atmosphere and a calorimeter 14 comprising a thermopile (plurally piled thermocouples), and a reference side measuring means 18 comprising a gas impermeable packing material 16 provided facing to the sample side measuring means 15 and having the catalyst 12 in its inside and a calorimeter 17 comprising a thermopile (plurally piled thermocouples). The calorimeter 14 of the sample side measuring means 15 is connected differentially to the calorimeter 17 of the reference side measuring means 18, a recorder 19 is provided to measure an output thereof, and a temperature difference between catalytic reaction heats in both is measured to measure a concentration of the pollutant in the atmosphere.</p> |
