An electrical connector has four contacts (2, 3, 4, 5) extending between inp ut terminals (18) and output terminals (13). In order to reduce crosstalk betwe en pairs of contacts the mutually most distant terminals (3 & 5, 4 & 6) of different particularly assigned signal carrying pairs (4 & 5, 3 & 6) of the contacts is arranged to provide coupling therebetween to induce crosstalk in opposition to crosstalk induced between the mutually closest terminals (3 &a mp; 4, 5 & 6) of the different assigned signal carrying pairs. The path lengths of the mutually most distant contacts are extended to enhance a phase oppositio n relationship between the mutually opposed cross talks, thereby to reduce overall cross talk.
