PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film unit with lens capable of easily performing a natural photographing of a subject image in a state where one direction of the image is compressed or enlarged. SOLUTION: Shutter release is performed when a shutter button is depressed. In this case, a photographing lens 32 constituting a photographing optical system is obtained by assembling a first photographing lens 32a and a cylindrical lens 65 as shown in Figure, so that the object image passing through a concave lens 4 and a convex lens 56 is compressed in a lateral direction. Thus, the subject image which is more slimmed naturally in the lateral direction with the compression ratio of 3 to 7% in comparison with a subject object image formed by a normal photographing lens is formed on a photographic film.
