PURPOSE:To prevent the infiltration of dust into a dustproof cover by forming a deflector part for deflecting air flow outward on the side reverse to the rotating direction of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The air flow is induced on the surface of an optical disk 2 and flows in an arrow A direction when the optical disk 2 is rotated in the arrow A direction by a spindle motor 3. This air flow flows in the form of crossing an aperture 42 of the dustproof cover 40. The air flow is deflected outward by the effect of the deflector part 41 at this time. As a result the air flow entering the inner side of the cover 40 via the aperture 42 is eventually drastically decreased or averted. The trouble, such as sticking of the dust flowting in the air flow to the surface of an objective lens via the aperture 42, is, therefore, minimized or is sufficiently prevented. The exact recording/ reproducing of information are thus executed. |
